Parking just outside of Akureyri for Krossanesborgir walking trails.
The area is a nature reserve so take care not to disturb nesting birds and try to be nice to the plants. Cleaning should probably be kept to a minimum, if it creates a visible and ugly "scar" then don't do it.
There are several climbing areas, I've only visited a couple of the boulder walls but I'm sure there are many others.
